You are cordially invited to attend the 2021 VIRTUAL Monty Python Invitational to be conducted via Zoom February 4-6, 2021.  In addition to the full slate of OSSAA qualifying events, we will be offering Congressional Debate, Informative Speaking, Duo Interpretation, and Program of Oral Interpretation in the Championship division.  Also, to allow for more judges, there will be no division in Championship Humorous and Dramatic Duet Acting, those entries should enter Championship Duet Acting.  All IE’s will happen asynchronously with preliminary and semifinal rounds judged February 4 and 5 and finals judged on February 6.

OSSAA qualifying debate events will consist of 3 preliminary rounds on Friday evening and all winning records will clear to elimination rounds to be held on Saturday.

Championship debate events will consist of 6 preliminary rounds (3 on Friday and 3 on Saturday) and the top two teams after prelims will debate in a final round.

All debate and extemporaneous speaking events will be synchronous and conducted via Zoom.

The docket for Congressional Debate will consist of legislation submitted to the West Oklahoma NSDA Congressional Debate docket that will be used at the District Congressional Debate tournament.  This will be published on the tabroom.com tournament website (http://montypython.tabroom.com/) the week of January 25.

We will again offer two preliminary rounds of all Championship individual events and will make our best attempt to place two judges in each round.  However, this is dependent on all schools participating in the tournament bringing their requisite number of judges.  If we don’t have enough judges we will not be able to use multiple judges in preliminary rounds.

Since we are offering a robust Championship division the tournament director requires that any student who is previously qualified to the OSSAA Regional Tournament enter into the Championship division.  If a student or team from outside the state of Oklahoma wishes to enter the tournament they must enter into the Championship division.

Entries are due by Tuesday, February 2 at 4:00pm CST.  Judges are due by Wednesday, February 3 at 4:00pm CST.

We look forward to virtually hosting you in 2021!!!
